RACINE - Yvonne “Vonnie” Schommer, 77, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 surrounded by family at home, in the comfort of her own bed, granting her final wishes. She was a lifetime resident of Racine, born on December 23, 1937 to the late Victor and Irene Larrin. Vonnie was a proud Blackfoot Indian and devoted wife. Her family was her life. Cherishing her memory are her children Norman Schommer, Vickie (Tobin Gage) Saynay, Billie (Tim) Marlotty and Bobbie (Dave) Martin. Her little people Grandkids Leslie (Al) Davis, Richard (Elaine) Saynay, Stephanie (Brian) Campbell, Christina (Brandon Joplin) Ferg, Peter Schroeder, Jr., Matthew Martin; Great-Grandkids Antonio, Kitchiana, Al, Jr., Momalesha, Jameer, Liliana, Mikaela, Jaxson, Sierra, Kaydence, Damarion, Dalaynee and Great-Great Grandson Kyrell. She is also survived by countless people who affectionately referred to her as Ma or Gram through the years and her lifelong friend, Mert Witkofski. Vonnie loved spending time with her family and caring for her two dogs Eddie and Tyson, solving crossword and Sudoku puzzles, crocheting, doing scratch offs and watching Steve Harvey. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home from 2pm-3pm on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Vonnie's Homegoing Celebration will begin at 3pm.
