Yan Chhay, 89, of Newport News, Virginia, passed peacefully in her sleep on June 13, 2023. She was born on April 20, 1934 in Cambodia. Yan moved to the United States with her family to become a citizen in 1990. She was a kind and peaceful soul. Yan is survived by her children, Chantol Sok, Rady Sok and Daughter in law Sophany Sok; As well as 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was loved, and lead an extraordinary life. A private viewing will be held for the family on June 19, 2023.
