It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Willie Perry, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who passed away on November 3, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born on December 23, 1941, to Eugene Perry and Pearlie M. Perry.
Willie leaves behind a loving family, including his wife Bettye Perry. Children Doris Colbert, Tamika Jenkins, Tyrone Perry, David Colbert, and Laura Colbert Evans, as well as 16 grandchildren. He was a devoted family man who always put his loved ones first.
Willie attended Dooly County High School and graduated in 1959. He went on to work at Deere and was an active member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a helper. He had a passion for serving others and was known for his kindness and generosity.
Willie enjoyed being an Usher as much as he loved that green tractor. He had a warm and welcoming presence that made everyone feel at ease in his company.
Willie Perry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
