Mr. Willie B. Bryant, 102, peacefully departed this life at home in Kermit, Texas, on Saturday, January 27, 2024. Born on October 26, 1921, in Groesbeck, Texas, to the late William and Katie Mae Bryant, Willie B. embarked on a remarkable journey that touched the lives of many. Willie B. embraced a humble beginning in Groesbeck, Texas, where he found solace in his faith at an early age.

In December 1945, armed with only a Grammar School Education, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, bravely serving in World War II and stationed at Camp Beale in Marysville, CA, as a Private. After his military service, Willie B. dedicated himself to various roles, including Truck Driver, Roustabout, Cement and Mechanic Helper. He contributed his skills to companies like Firestone and Sid Richardson Gasoline before embracing retirement in 1986. Willie B. worked as a Poll Worker for many years and assisted others to become registered voters. His devotion extended beyond his professional life, as Willie B. held an unwavering passion for family and travel. A true gentleman of the old school, he took pride in dressing impeccably and relishing the nightlife. Willie B. instilled in his sons the values of hard work, teaching them the intricacies of outdoor maintenance, farm life, and car upkeep. His daughters, in turn, were entrusted with the responsibilities of household chores. Witnessing his children evolve into successful adults and seeing his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren achieve remarkable feats brought him immense pride. Willie B. embraced being one of the oldest persons in Kermit and was given numerous awards. In his spiritual journey, Willie B. rededicated his life, joining Faith Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Leader, and contributed his voice to the Choir.

To carry forward his legacy, Willie B. is survived by his loving children: Barbara Ann (Jack), Melvin (Thalia), Sandra Kay (Thomas), Kerivin Deon (Demetra), Malcolmn Scott, Glynis Monet, and Devalon Darrell (Tamara). He leaves behind 23 Grandchildren, 26 Great-Grandchildren, and 19 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
