William Joseph Thorsen1928 - 2013William Joseph Thorsen, 84, of Gurnee, Ill., passed away on June 28, 2013 at Victory Lakes, Lindenhurst, Ill. He was born on July 31, 1928 in North Chicago to Joseph and Martha Thorsen. William was a member of Holy Family in North Chicago. He was president of the school board, District 64 and belonged to the Holy Rosary Soc. He was predeceased by his wife Jean (Madigan)Survived by children, Lawrence (Pauline), Sharon (Chuck) Bishop, Jon (Laura), Patrick (Connie) and a special friend Betty Schulz; grandchildren, Christine (Ryan) Scott, Jaime (Eric) Patmor; Meghan Bishop, Michael (Kristy) Bishop, Alyssa, Neil, Ryan, Justin and Austin Thorsen; and five great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 10 a.m. with a funeral service following at 12pm. Father Joseph Curtis will officiate.
