William "Bill" L. SmithZANESVILLE: William "Bill" L. Smith, 81 of Zanesville died at 5:30 PM Monday, June 12, 2017 at the Genesis Healthcare E.R. following a sudden illness. He was born on Sunday, July 21, 1935 in Sonora, Ohio the son of George Smith Sr. and Eula Dickerson Smith.Bill was retired from Burnham Boiler Company after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Mason Hubbard Lodge 220 in Adamsville, a member of the Tree of Life Christian Fellowship and active with the Muskingum County Center for Seniors. He is survived by 2 daughters; Sheryl Robinson of Zanesville and Brenda Smith of Roseville; a son, David (Kelly) Smith of Nashport; 6 grandchildren, Ryan (Sara) Robinson, Joshua Smith, Ashley (Brant) Watts, Jessica (Shannon) Young, Justin Howdyshell and Phillip Duvall; 9 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Eleanor Bee, Sally Hittle and Becky Smith; several nieces and nephews; a daughter-in-law, Beth Smith; a sister-in-law, Reba Sims; and a brother-in-law, Raymond Hale. William was preceded in death by In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife in 2008, Marilyn Huey Smith; a son, Gary Smith, a grandson, Dustin Robinson; a brother, George Smith Jr. ; his sisters, Vivian Hale, Maryann Carnes, Sue Vandergriff and Kay Puzzela.Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home and one hour prior to service at the church. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Tree of Life Christian Fellowship, Chandlersville Rd. with Pastor Tom Hayes officiating.
