William Gardner Morgan, III, 72, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away peacefully September 10, 2016 at home. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, 14542 Choate Circle, Charlotte, NC with the Rev. Bruce Jones officiating. Mr. Morgan was born on October 17, 1943 in Atlanta, GA to the late William G. Morgan, Jr and Sarah Todd Morgan. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dorris Lee Morgan; daughter, Michelle Transou and husband Ray of Lake Wylie, SC; son, William G. Morgan, IV and wife Amanda of Trinity, NC; sister, Denise Whiteside of Atlanta, GA; brother, Richard P. Morgan of Lake Wylie, SC; and three grandchildren, Emma and Anna Transou and Bella Dill.
