William John McLaughlinAGE: 70 • SayervilleWilliam J. McLaughlin of Sayreville passed away unexpectedly on September 25, 2017 at his home. He was born on January 4, 1947 in Newark, NJ to William Francis McLaughlin and Camille Del Russie McLaughlin.Bill graduated from Middletown NY High School. He received his BS and MBA degrees from Fordham University in the Bronx. He was a US Army Veteran. He was employed by The Office of Thrift Supervision as a bank examiner for 39 years, and worked out of Jersey City. He was a master of trivia and enjoyed playing tennis his entire adult life. He was predeceased by his wife Judith Smith McLaughlin, and former wife Dianne Murray McLaughlin. Bill is survived by his daughter Koreen Anne McLaughlin, grandchildren Edward, Hailey, and Elizabeth Holly, great grandson Aiden, sister Ellen Crowley, nieces Jennifer Barnett and Margaret Crowley, as well as loving cousins and extended family. He is also survived by his faithful canine companion, Benji. The service will be held at The Mundy Funeral Home, 142 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen on Saturday October 7, 2017 at 10am.
