William J. Kramme was born on July 10, 1922, the son of Jens S. Kramme and Gladys H. Kramme in Sibley, Iowa and passed away on December 4, 2016.He spent the years of 1943 -1944 and 1945 in the United States Army. After first going to Guadalcanal and then to Dutch New Guinea he was then in the General McArthur invasion of Leyte in the Philippines.On August 1, 1947 he was united in marriage to Frances A. Heritage of Ashton, Iowa. After five years in the Los Angeles area they moved to Porterville, CA, where they lived 35 years. He and his partners, Norlan Behrens, Bill Reece, and Woody Childers owned and operated an insurance and real estate agency.In 1987 they moved to Fresno and was employed part-time by Ace Electric; owned and operated by his daughter, Karen and husband Steve Stonecipher.Bill's wife, Frances, passed away in March 2008 after 60 ½ years of marriage.He was preceded in death by his parents, Jens and Gladys Kramme; brother, Robert D. Kramme and his wife Shirley of Sutherland, Iowa; sister, Lillian Bartelson and her husband Robert; sister-in-law, Thelma Robinson and her husband Pat; sister – in-law, Doris Fritts and her husband Langdon.Bill is survived by his son, James R. Kramme and his wife Ellen of Grover Beach, CA; daughter, Karen L. Stonecipher; grandson, Brad R. Stonecipher of Fresno; and numerous nieces and nephews.A Graveside Service will be held at Clovis Cemetery on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
