William Gray Smith , 72, passed on February 25, 2021. He was born to James Smith and Eleanor Smith in Mobile, Alabama on March 26, 1948.

He married Ella Smith in 25 and they lived together in Mobile Alabama before moving to Atlanta-Good Hope, Georgia. Together they raised 3 children Tonny Smith (Marvina White Smith), Sandy Smith, Willie smith . He is also survived by 8 grandchildren. He was a member of Hood Hope Baptist Church. He joined the United States military and served four years. William was best known for his humor, and out going personality that carried him through out his many years of helping the community and charity work. Those who knew William knew that he was very family oriented, a wonderful cook, and an expert in Chess.

William graduated from Booker T Washington Highschool, where he was lead of his debate team and a member of the band.

William leaves behind 3 children and his 8 grandkids, Raphael, Toni, Ebonee', Brittany, Nadia, Montevius, Jada, and Demond. Also two siblings, Mary Alice Smith and Al Smith.
