William W. Gohdes died peacefully on November 15, 2016 at the age of 84. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 45 years, Elizabeth, his children Lynne Gillan, Susan Solum, Carol Halle, his grandchildren Georgia and Phoebe Gillan, Isabel and Summer Halle and his niece Sharon Morris. Bill was born on December 4, 1932 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He graduated from University of Wisconsin, School of Pharmacy. He proudly served as a Reserve Commission Officer in the United States Army for four years and achieved the rank of Captain. Bill had a long successful career with Upjohn Pharmecutical Company including general and hospital sale assignments followed by the job of Chicago District Sales Manager. He spent the last 20 years of his career as Midwest Regional Manager of State Government Affairs, retiring in 1990. His golden years were filled with many interests, and one of his greatest pleasures was traveling the world with the love of his life, Elizabeth. There will be a memorial service at Grace Luthern Church in Western Springs, Illinois, further details to be announced.
