William Elden Richardson, 72Muncie - William Elden Richardson, 72, passed away at his residence unexpectedly Sunday, February 26, 2017.Bill was the son of Harry E. and Olive (Empey) Richardson. He was born on December 9, 1944 in Muncie. William attended city schools and graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1962. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He graduated summa cum laude from Ball State University in 1982 and was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society.He retired from Borg Warner, where he worked for forty-one years as a Tool Maker. Bill was a member of U.A.W. #287.Bill enjoyed riding horses, crossword puzzles and was an avid reader, especially history and anthropology. He also enjoyed playing the violin and cello, and he had a lifelong love of music, beginning as a child  in the Collins Band.He married his wife of 49 and a half years, Marsha (Abousamra) on August 26, 1967, at the Normal City EUB Church. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church where he was active in Caleb's Kin, the Association of Lifelong Learners, and was a past member of Masterworks Chorale.Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife, Marsha Richardson; two daughters, Elizabeth (Eric) Haines, Pensacola, FL, Susan (Peter) Fuller, Greenwood; a son, Scott (Heather) Richardson, Woodstock, GA; his grandchildren, Emily and Evan Haines, Alyssa and Nicholas Fuller, and Tiffany, Adaline, Nancy Olivia, Noah, and Sophie Richardson; a sister, Cheryl Grim-Gauze, Honolulu, HI.He was preceded in death by his parents, and a half brother, Robert E. Richardson.Friends may call at Grace Baptist Church, 6401 W. River Rd. on Friday, March 3, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., or one hour prior to service time on Saturday.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Rory Bond officiating. Entombment with Military Rites conducted by the Delaware County Veterans Honor Guard will follow in Elm Ridge Mausoleum.Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church, Benevolence Fund, 6401 W.
