William C. EckerEast BerlinWilliam C. Ecker, 88, formerly of West York, died Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at the home of his daughter, Bonnie Raber. He was the husband of the late Jean (Lender) Ecker.William was born on February 10, 1927, in Taneytown, Md., a son of the late Earl C. and Grace M. (Sauble) Ecker and stepson of the late Mary Belle Ecker.He retired from the former Consolidated Freightways, having been a truck driver and dock worker. After retirement, he was a custodian at Weiglestown Elementary School. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.The viewings will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St. and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church, 2740 Roosevelt Ave. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Gregory D. Wahlberg officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's (Wolf's) Church Cemetery.William is survived by his children, Linda K. Ecker of Columbus, Ohio, Barbara James of Baudette, Minn., Wade Clark of Glen Rock, William C. Ecker, Jr. of Abbottstown, Terry Clark of New Stanton, Bonnie Raber, of East Berlin, and Kathleen Thompson of Wheaton, Md.; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Mildren O.
