Kennedy , William Douglas,65, of Louisville, KY, passed away peacefully in the evening of Wednesday October 4, 2017 at his home.He was born on May 4, 1952 in Charleston, WV. He was a graduate of Eastern High School and The University of Louisville (B.S. in Biology and M.A.T.). He was a man of many talents and pursuits and dedicated himself fully to each. He was a master trim carpenter for over 30 years before becoming a beloved Science teacher at St. Aloysius Catholic School in Pewee Valley. His hobbies included cycling, beekeeping, orienteering, marksmanship, horticulture, and numerous others. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and teacher that lived with a constant craving for knowledge and experiences.He is survived by his wife, Cathryn Kennedy (born Carrigan); son, Michael Kennedy (Laura); step-sons, Jason Boone (Jessica) and Joseph Boone (Liz ); parents, Howard Douglas Kennedy and Elizabeth S. Kennedy; grandchildren, Jackson, Amelia and Lily Boone; brother, David Kennedy (Anny); sister, Susan Kennedy (Barry);s nephew, Daniel Owsley (fiancée Rachel) and his niece, Sarah Owsley (fiancé Brett).Memorial Mass will be Celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday October 7, 2017 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 212 Mt. Mercy Drive Pewee Valley, KY 40056. Burial will be private. Donations in memoriam may be made to St. Aloysius Catholic School.
