William Continelli passed away on April 21 in Wantagh, NY after a brief illness.  He was born 3/30/1962 in the Reggio Calabria of Italy to Ann and Guglielmo. After the sudden death of his father, his mother returned to New York and remarried.  He was legally adopted by Basil Continelli, who raised him as his own son. William graduated from the American College of Switzerland in 1984 with a dual degree in Business and Accounting.  He worked for several years as an accountant in Italy.  It was here that he met and married the love of his life, Annetta (“Nan”) at a dance, before returning to New York State, settling in upstate New York and then in Wantagh NY. He worked in accounting for the state of New York for a number of years before becoming a self-employed financial consultant.  He had a lifelong interest in travel, and took his family on many vacations, including Italy, Europe, and Australia. He and his wife loved the ocean and maintained a part-time home in the South.  He is predeceased by his parents and one brother, and is survived by his beloved wife Annetta (“Nan”), his daughter Loren Murphy and her husband James Murphy of Brooklyn, NY; his sisters AnneMarie Lombardi and her husband Anthony Lombardi of Massachusetts, and Tracey Continelli of New York; and many beloved friends, and numerous cousins and other family members in Italy.  A memorial service will be held at the Postcards Memorial on Bank Street, Staten Island, NY 10301 on Thursday, April 25 from noon to three with the Reverend Kevin O’Connor officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association are appreciated.
