William was born in Beaumont, Texas on October 10, 1975, into the Union of Albert Mims and Christine Huggins. William was the only son and the fifth born of seven siblings. William accepted Christ at an early age. Later in life, he became a member of True Love Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor, Reverend, J.C. Cardoine.

William was a very active child. He started to play basketball at the age of the seven. He also played volleyball and ran track in middle, and high school. William was a very kind and loving person, and everyone who encountered him came to love him too. William made up unusual nicknames to call his family and friends. William liked to play practical jokes with everyone in the family. William also loved to act silly around family and friends. William always had a smile on his face and he didn't like any confrontations.

William received his education at Kelson Elementary School in Inglewood, CA. In 1980, Christine Williams relocated her children to Cerritos, CA where he furthered his education at Faye Ross Jr High School and graduated where he earned his AA degree in Liberal Art with a 3.0 GPA.

In 2005, William married Michelle Wallace and gave birth to one son, William Tyree Mims IV. In 2007, William joined the L.A. Headhunters M.C. When William started his battle with cancer he chose to step down back to his previous position as Vice President. William was Vice President until he lost his battle with cancer.

William was truly loved, sincerely appreciated, and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, precious William. We are all blessed to have known, loved and been loved by William. We'll meet again. On June 21, 2018, William lost his battle with cancer. His Heavenly Father took his hands and gave him wings to fly. His older son (Tyree) was at his bedside when William took his last breath of air. William was called to rest and survived by his wife, mother, seven children, one grandson, two granddaughters, mother-in-law, father-in-law, five brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, five nephews, three nieces, four great-nieces, two god-daughters, and two god grand-son.
