Wilford K. SmithSeven ValleysWilford K. Smith, 93, died Saturday, October 31, 2015, at his home. He was the husband of the late Miriam L. (Krebs) Smith and the late Betty J. (Markel) Smith.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at St. Jacob's Stone UCC Church, 5152 Stone Church Road, Glenville, with Pastor Melissa Eicholtz officiating. Burial will be in St. Jacob's Stone Church Cemetery. Viewings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, and from 10 to 11a.m. Wednesday at the church. Mr. Smith was born on August 7, 1922, in Brodbecks, a son of the late Willis V. and Annie (Kaltreider) Smith.He retired as a Stock Clerk from Teledyne Readco in York in 1987, following 44 years of employment. He was a member of St. Jacob's (Stone) United Church of Christ and was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan.Wilford leaves a son, Robert K. Smith of Dover; a stepdaughter, Karen D. Allen of Gainesville, Va.; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mildred Smith of Glen Rock and Eva K. Boyer of York.
