This obituary is administered by:
Whitney Rob KinslowSan AngeloWhitney Rob Kinslow passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016. He was born on Jan. 14, 1971, in San Angelo, Texas, to Robbie Pope Kinslow and Larry Franklin Kinslow. Whit attended San Angelo schools, graduating from Central High School in 1989. During his childhood, he began developing his love for music and anything instrumental. Whit was a very talented piano, guitar, drum player and vocalist. He was able to play anything by ear. After high school Whit moved to Georgetown, Texas, to attend Southwestern University. He studied Biology, earning a degree in Chemistry and Biology in 1993. While in Georgetown he met Juli Currey. They were married on Feb. 5, 1994. They moved to Pasadena afterwards, so that Whit could attend Texas Chiropractic College. While attending school, Robert Sutton Kinslow was born on April 25, 1996. Benjamin Hayden Kinslow followed on Feb. 22, 1998. Whit received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in August of 1999, graduating second in his class. The family moved back to Georgetown where Whit opened his practice, and Davis Carter Kinslow was born on Feb. 19, 2000, thus completing the set of "brothers". Whit enjoyed coaching "the brothers" in soccer, baseball and flag football throughout the years. Whenever he was able, Whit would find a guitar and a group of folks to jam and gig with. Music was his outlet. He was a member of our First United Methodist Church band "The Stirring" off and on for several years. Whit loved playing with local bands in and around the Central Texas area. He particularly loved what he called the Texas Red Dirt scene. He loved to trade musical instruments and was an avid Craigslist junkie. His other passion was trading and working on cars. This began almost as early as his love for music. Whit loved spending time with his family. He looked forward to ski trips and summer fishing trips to his beloved Red River. He also enjoyed watching college football, especially the Red Raiders of Texas Tech. Whit was so proud of Sutton and Hayden and their successes as students at Tech, and of Carter and his accomplishments with the Georgetown High School Archery Team. He was an amazing man, husband, father, brother and friend to all.Whit is survived by Juli Currey Kinslow and sons Robert Sutton, Benjamin Hayden and Davis Carter of Georgetown. He is also survived by Ronah, Bob, Lindsey, Brandon and Bowen Currey of Georgetown; his sister, Allison Tonne, her husband Paul, nephew Bradley and niece Lauren Tonne, all of San Angelo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robbie Pope Kinslow and Larry Franklin Kinslow. We will be forever grateful for the time we had with him. His sense of humor was infectious. He will be missed greatly. Memorial service is at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at First United Methodist Church in Georgetown and at 2 pm. Friday, Nov. 4, at Southland Baptist Church in San Angelo. In lieu of flowers the family would like to request memorials to the Georgetown First United Methodist Church band "The Stirring."
