Was born on October 19, 1927 to Calvin & Ethel Sims in Blue Ridge, TX. He passed away peacefully on November 27, 2011. He was a devoted Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Wesley is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Katie and son, Wesley Earl Sims, Jr. He is survived by daughters: Melody Brown, Belinda Rucker and husband Ronny, brother, G.E. Sims and sister, Evelyn Burchfield; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a Army veteran of the Korean War, retired from Western Electric after 30 years of service and many years with Exxon. Visitation will be from 5-8PM on Tuesday, November 29th. Funeral service will be at 3PM on Wednesday, November 30th in Brookside's Grand Chapel, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, 281-449-6511. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
