Wendy Elizabeth Watson died in her home on August 21, 2015, at the age of 52. After a long struggle with chronic pain and heart failure, she passed early in the morning surrounded by some of her loved ones. She is survived by family and friends, most notably her child, Elizabeth Bottler, her parents, Susan and James (Alan) Aschow and Jay Watson, her sister, Melody Malon, and Roger Robertson.

Born August 10, 1963, Wendy spent most of her life within Sonoma County. Described as a vivacious, witty and happy girl, she sought out fun and adventure. When she was child she loved to sing and play soccer. As time passed her hobbies changed to dirt bike riding, driving around with her friends, and photography.

As a single parent managing chronic and life-threatening illnesses, Wendy did her best to not live a limited life. At her best she would spend hours in her backyard gardening or finding projects to fix up the house. She continuously gardened wherever she went, even if that meant plucking dead poppy heads around her street or pulling weeds in public planter box. There were many days when she would drive around listening to audiobooks and searching thrift stores for small treasures. On not so great days, Wendy and Elizabeth could be found on the couch watching movies and loving their animals.

An avid gardener, Wendy beautified all that she saw. Strong-willed, compassionate, and loving, Wendy followed the beat of her own drum. Sometimes stubborn and unwavering, her heart was always full of love and concern for the people around her. Her touch was gentle, her smile slightly crooked, and her eyes the brightest blue. She was funny, sassy, and warm. Her love for her family remains unwavering even in death.
