Wayne Charles ButcherMarch 13, 1941February 15, 2017Wayne Charles Butcher, 75 years old passed away February 15, 2017 at Mercy General Hospital, Sacramento, CA. He was born on March 13, 1941 in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada to Uridge and Dorine Butcher.Wayne grew up the first few years in Nanaimo and later lived in West Vancouver, British Columbia. After school he worked a few years for his father in the insurance business. For the next 48 years Wayne perused the world of trucking, owned and operated his own international transportation business.Wayne married Alice in 1973 in Vernon, British Columbia. They were very happily married for 43 years. In 1992 Wayne and Alice moved to Reno, Nevada and in 2011 they became U.S. Citizens. Wayne always enjoyed trucking, camping, boating and classic cars. Wayne was registered with Hot August Nights from almost it's inception, and was a member of the Classic Chevy's Plus Car Club. Wayne had succeeded in compiling an incredible amount of knowledge in his passion for classic cars. Wayne is survived by his wife Alice of Sparks, Nevada, Son Mike (Nikki) of Calgary Alberta, Daughter. Deana (Josh) of Fernley, Nevada, & 9 grandchildren. Wayne will forever be remember by his extended family and dear friends.Wayne's quality of character, integrity, humor and love will always be remembered.
