Wayne Reed, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 7, 2025. He was born on September 16, 1956, in Denver, Indiana, United States, to the late Bernard S. Reed and Betty S. Reed.
Wayne was married to his loving wife Cassandra Martin-Reed until her passing, and together they raised three children: Lynette R. Bell (spouse Ramell W. Bell), Vanessa R. Brown (spouse Rodney J. Brown), and Edward Keith Reed (spouse Julia M. Reed). He was a cherished grandfather to six grandchildren.
Wayne attended West Coast High School, graduating in 1974, and went on to earn his degree from Averitt University in 1975. He had a successful career as an Office Social Worker, retiring in 2025.
Wayne was known for his love of spending time with his family and friends. He had a kind heart and always put others before himself. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, wife, son John W. Reed, and his father-in-law Bernard S. Reed. He is survived by his sister-in-law Stella J. Reed, who will continue to cherish his memory.
