Waundarryl R. Evans, age 52, of Balch Springs, Texas, passed away on September 6, 2025. Born on July 8, 1973, in Monroe, Louisiana, Waundarryl was raised in Marion, Louisiana, where he graduated with the Class of 1992 from Marion High School.

Waundarryl was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Candice Evans-Hilton; daughters Andrea Hilton and Tempestt Hilton; and cherished grandchildren Kennadi Evans, Tayler Hilton, Juni Riddick, and Jayce Riddick. He also leaves behind his godson Wanya Alexander, sister Andrea Dixon, brother Alex Colvin, and a special friend and sister Natasha Alexander, along with a host of other family members and lifelong friends who were touched by his generous spirit.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Ida Dixon and stepfather Harvey Dixon, who welcomed him with open arms in eternal rest.

Professionally, Waundarryl dedicated over a decade of his life to Dart, where he was known for his hard work and reliability.

Waundarryl was a simple man who found joy in life’s everyday moments. He loved fishing, cooking, music, and was known to many as DJ Heavy. He had a passion for thrift shopping and cherished spending time with his family—especially his grandchildren. Quiet but protective, laid-back but always present, Waundarryl lived with a steady strength and a deep belief in God. His laughter, his kindness, and the comfort of his presence will be missed beyond measure.
