Wanda Jo MartinSwannanoa - Wanda Jo Martin, 88, of Swannanoa, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Mission Hospital in Asheville. She was born on July 28, 1929 in Virginia to the late Carl Lewis Lominac and Leona Woody. Wanda is preceded in death by two of her daughters. She is survived by daughters, Frances Tate of Swannanoa and Wanda West (Steve) of Hendersonville; sister, Bonnie Sue Hensley of Hendersonville; six grandchildren, Joey Keefe, Regina Tate, Wayne Tate, Robyn Tate, Amber Golden and Isaac West; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Wanda was a member of Community Tabernacle Church and was an assembler at Kearfott Aircraft Part Manufacturing Company.A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Penland Family Funeral Home in the chapel. The service will be officiated by Rev. Jeff Steinel. The family will receive friends after the service at the Family Life Center of Swannanoa First Baptist Church.
