Pfister, Jr., Walter J.Walter J. Pfister, Jr. died December 27, 2016.Walter (Wally) was born on April 28, 1929 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, to Walter J. Pfister, Sr. and Helen Jung Pfister. Both father and son were graduates of Columbia University School of Journalism. Wally Pfister was an Emmy Award winning veteran of 25 years in network news. He produced the nightly news with Peter Jennings and was a vice president of ABC TV News. In 1957 Wally married Patricia Conway of La Crosse,Wisconsin. They lived in Chicago, Illinoise and in Irvington, New York for 35 years. He is survived by by his wife, their four children, Jenny Laffey (Michael), Mary Snyder, (John), Wally C. Pfister and Nancy Jameson (Jonathan); grandchildren Ian and Madeline Snyder, Nicholas, Claire and Mia Pfister and Jessica Jameson. Also sister Alice Auty and brother-in-law J.D.Auty, of Naples, Florida, brother-in-law, Dr. Donald Luedke of Brookfield,Wisconsin, husband of Wally's sister Jenny (deceased). Wally's remains will be received in the Natural Burial Grounds at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Tarrytown New York.
