KRIEGERWalter H. Walter H. Krieger, 91, formerly of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on Mon., Nov. 7. Walt was born on Sept. 29, 1925, to Harry and Stella Krieger. He married Rita Tucholski on Sept. 2, 1950.Walt graduated from Macomber Vocational High School in 1944. He served with the US Army during WWII and the Korean War. Walt retired after 25 years from Surface Combustion in 1986. During his retirement years, he and Rita enjoyed playing golf at Valleywood in Swanton, and they also played many times in their yearly visits to Florida, and other states during their travels.Walt was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rita; grandson, Alex (A.J.); five brothers; and one sister.Walt is survived by his daughter, Karen (Richard) West, and son, David (Sue). Family and friends may visit on Thurs., Nov. 10, 2016, from 2-8 p.m. at the W. K. Sujkowski and Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy., Toledo, where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home prior to the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish.
