It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Walter Stanley, who left this world on July 14, 2025, in his hometown of Hoquiam, Washington. Born on December 2, 1938, to proud parents William and Mary, Walter brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.
In 1959, Walter married his beloved spouse Lorraine, and together they raised four wonderful children: Cindy, Kelly, Bill, and Vance. He was also a loving grandfather to seven grandchildren: Erin, Miranda, Michael, Courtney, Chelsea, Katie, and Scott.
Walter attended Highline High School, graduating in 1956 before pursuing further education at Highline Community College, where he received his degree in 1972.
Throughout his career, Walter worked at Boeing until his well-deserved retirement in 1994. In addition to his professional life, he dedicated his time to the Senior Center organization, where he made a positive impact on the community.
Walter also proudly served in the Navy as an O-6 in the VA-42 unit for six years, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to his country.
When he wasn't busy with his various commitments, Walter enjoyed dancing, traveling, and attending car shows. He brought light to every room he entered and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Walter's passing was the result of an intestinal obstruction, but we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
