After their marriage, they moved to Milwaukee where he worked at Briggs & Stratton for 13 years. Wally and Dorothy missed living in the country and decided to move their children back to the Stevens Point area. He began traveling with the motor home in his early 60's where he visited most of the United States, his favorite was Las Vegas, Nevada, especially when he won!! But his love for WI could not compete as he enjoyed traveling to the north woods where he would fish for blue gills and hunted white tail deer well into his early eighties. Wally enjoyed listening to music, polka music was his passion. He was self-taught on the saxophone and trumpet. He played in numerous bands with his brothers, Leonard, Ervin, and Ernie and started a polka band with children in the late seventies. The most precious part of his life was his family and he valued every minute he could spend with them. Wally was preceded in death by his wife; Dorothy, three sisters; Dorothy Mozuch, Gladys Glodowski and Leona Grasel, three brothers; Leonard, Ervin, Nicholas Jr, and his grandson Brandon Cieslewicz who was killed in an automobile accident in 2002.Survivors include: one brother, Ernie, six children, David, Gary, Joyce (Tony) Karpinski, Arnie (Bev), Shari (Quintian) Cieslewicz, Cori (Randy) Studinski; seven granddaughters, Kristi, Alicia, Tara, Jennifer, Desiree, Breanna and Brittany; seven grandsons, Jason, Brad, Jeremy, Dan, Bob, Justin and Eric and 20 great grandchildren.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday November 30, 2016, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church 3200 Plover Road Plover.
