Vivian EllicockRedding, CAVivian Ruth Ellicock passed away peacefully with dignity and grace, just as she lived, on December 4th, 2016. She was 95 years old. She was born on October 30th, 1921 in Kalamazoo Michigan to Lloyd and Sylvia Johnson. It was in Kalamazoo that she met the love of her life, Fred Ellicock. They married in 1950 then relocated to Ojai California and had two children, Roger and Janet. In 1972 they moved to Redding where she worked as a medical receptionist until retirement in 1983. In retirement she loved to travel and spent many summers in the cooler weather of Port Townsend Washington. She enjoyed time with family and friends, cooking, reading and taking care of her pets, and was talented at knitting, quilting, crossword puzzles and playing Bridge. She was a loyal SF Giants fan and rarely missed a game.She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters, and is survived by her son Roger Ellicock (Nancy) and daughter Janet Domke (Ross), grandchildren Ashley Heath (Victor), Brianna Pichardo (Elohim), RJ Ellicock, Andrew Kidd (Cristy), Sydney Domke, Sara Domke, Josh Domke (Kat) and Joe Domke (Marie). She has four great-grandchildren with two more on the way. She lived a long, beautiful life, and her memory will be warmly cherished by all who knew her.
