Virginia N. RobertsVirginia Nemnich Roberts died on April 24, 2017. She was 92.Mrs. Roberts was born on January 5, 1925 in Coushatta, LA. After graduating from high school, she attended business school in Shreveport, LA. She then went to work for Southern Bell Telephone Company where she met Elton Roberts. They were married in August 1947 and were married for 56 years. She was an active member of Parkview Baptist Church where she taught children's Training Union and worked in the church nursery for many years.Mrs. Roberts is preceded in death by her husband, Elton, and her son, Douglas. She is survived by daughters Gwen Laney and husband, Jack, Kathleen Smith and husband, Colby, and son Allan Roberts. She has six grandchildren, Saige, Austin, Cayce, Josh, Chris and Hannah; four great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 26th at 10:00 am at Mulhearn Funeral Home, 300 McMillan Road, West Monroe, LA. Reverend Ricky Baker will officiate. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport, LA.Visitation will be held from 5:00P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, 7200 DeSaird Street, Monroe, LA.71203.
