Virgil Lee Fowler Sr.SAN ANGELOVirgil Lee Fowler Sr.,70, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017. He peacefully went at home. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017, at Shaffer Funeral Home/Grape Creek, with family present from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Graveside service is at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, in Lakeview Cemetery in Winters, Texas.He was born on Dec. 10, 1946, in Ballinger, Texas, where he attended school and met and married the love of his life, Janice Rae Gunyon. The two celebrated 51 blissful years of marriage last November. Virgil worked most of his life in construction and was on the Board of Directors for the Water Valley Volunteer Fire Department.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Lynn; his brother; Ronnie Joe; and his mother and father, Florence and Virgil W. Fowler.His survivors include his wife Janice; two sons, Lee Fowler and wife Lori of Water Valley and Kevan Fowler and wife Angie of Spring Branch; one granddaughter, Shayla McGinley and husband David of San Angelo; three grandsons, Garrett, Trent and Devin Fowler; two great-granddaughters, Brynlee and Blayklee McGinley; sister Jeannie Neighbors of Water Valley; niece Natasha Hipp and husband Randall of Big Spring; nephew Chris Neighbors of Water Valley; brother Michael Fowler and wife Judy of Harlingen; nephew Mike Fowler of Stephenville; and other numerous loved nieces and nephews.Online condolences may be made to shafferpioneer.com.
