Vincent G. Archuleta, 63, a lifelong resident of El Carmen passed away on Oct. 25, 2016 at his home in the arms of his children. He was born on Easter Sunday, April 5, 1953 in El Carmen to Elith Archuleta and Ida Sandoval, the fourth of nine children.He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jesusita Vigil; grandparents, Canuto and Francisquita Sandoval and Juan Archuleta and Refugio Lucero, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is survived by his children, Rose Ann and Jonathan Archuleta of the family home and his beloved grandson, Orion Moore, of Dallas; brothers and sisters, Joe Archuleta and Bercy, Las Vegas, Alex Archuleta and Isabel, San Ramon, Calif., John Archuleta and Irene, Rio Rancho, Leroy Archuleta and George Brugnone, Albuquerque, Julie Gallegos, Ojo Caliente, Frances Archuleta and Gabe Garcia, Albuquerque, James Archuleta and Michelle, Albuquerque, and Theresa Mendibles and Eddie, Rio Rancho; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Celestino Duran, Arvada, Colo., Benito Vigil, Arvada, Colo., Teo Vigil and Antonia, Rociada, Angie Vigil, Farmington, Carlos Vigil and Lisa, California, Grace Vigil, Mora, and Terry Montoya and Beraldo, Chimayo, and many other relatives and friends. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Rosana Vigil, Las Vegas, and his padrinos, Emilio Sandoval and Elisea Rodriguez, both of Denver.Vincent was a veteran, having served in Korea in the U.S. Army and will be buried with military honors. Vincent was a private person and a very loving father. He loved being outdoors; loved living in El Carmen, and spent endless hours in the mountains around El Rincon and La Cebollita.Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, El Carmen. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday also at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, El Carmen, with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Burial immediately following the mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, El Carmen.
