Veronica Claire CarrilloIn Daly City, Veronica Alves Carrillo passed away on November 13, 2016, at the age of 91. She was born on January 11, 1925 in San Francisco to Maria Pereira and Cypriano da Costa Alves. A first generation Portuguese-American, she attended Glen Park Elementary, Lowell High School, and St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing, graduating with her RN in 1947. Veronica married William Carrillo in 1948 and together they raised 5 children. Veronica was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, William, and her daughter Karen Carrillo Palengat. She is survived by her children Kristine (Rolf), Kim (Brian), Kent (Nancy) and Kirk (Cathy); 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Private family services are being planned.
