Veronica Martin, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on November 2, 2024, in her hometown of Madison Heights, Michigan. She was born on August 24, 1961, to Ronald and Frances Somoskey. She is survived by her sister Romona Voodre and bother Ronnie Somoskey.

Veronica was known for her larger than life personality and her unconditional love which she showed everyone who knew her. She was the first to speak up and the last to take any nonsense.

She attended Madison High School and later married the love of her life, Lonnie Martin, in 1981. Together, they raised four children – Amanda, Loni (Nicholas Sanders), Shannon, and Tiffany (LaChaise Williams) – who brought immeasurable joy to their lives.

Veronica adored her ten grandchildren, she often said that they kept her going and were the reason she fought so hard. She was a doting grandmother, always ready with a warm hug.

While Veronica may no longer be with us, her legacy lives on in the memories of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed, both for her incredible humor and for the love and laughter she brought into the lives of all who knew her.
