Vernon Shelton, beloved husband of Barbara Shelton, passed away on March 1, 2025, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, at the age of 82. Born on April 4, 1942, Vernon lived a full and vibrant life filled with laughter and love.

After serving in the United States Marine Corps as a First Lieutenant, Vernon went on to have a successful career as a Radio Operation Specialist until his retirement in 2008. Known for his quick wit and infectious smile, Vernon left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his three children, Marc Shelton and spouse Anne-Marie Shelton, Donnie Shelton and spouse Bunnie Shelton, and Cheryl Johnson and spouse Mike Johnson. Vernon was also a proud grandfather to six cherished grandchildren.

Vernon will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Although Vernon may have left us too soon, we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace. Rest in paradise, Vernon. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.
