His professional endeavors led him to Certified Groceries, where Verdie dedicated years of his life to serving the community. He found great joy in assisting customers and building meaningful connections with them.

Verdie's commitment to giving back extended beyond his workplace. He actively participated in the Riverside Baptist Church organization, lending a helping hand wherever it was needed. His dedication and faith were an inspiration to all who witnessed his involvement.

Notably, Verdie served in the Army, achieving the distinguished rank of Sergeant. His bravery and commitment to his duty were commendable, leaving an everlasting impact on his fellow soldiers and superiors.
