Velma Rae Bateman Craft was called home on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016. She was born on Feb. 12, 1924, in Fort Worth to Kate Adair and Clarence Bateman. Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation: Prior to service. She is reunited with her husband, Bob; her youngest daughter, Jeanie; her parents; and others from her cloud of witnesses. Survivors: Her only sister, Kathryn "Kitty" Bates; her children and the parents of her grandchildren, Pam Craft and Jack Reily, Howard Craft, Laura Ives Craft and Gordon Spencer; her grandchildren, Ken and Shari Reily, Alison Reily, Ashley and Jay Wood, Kate and Walker Lyle, Melinda and John Blanton, Lea Spencer and Jared Molton; her great-grandchildren, Maureen Reily, Jason and Hailey Wood and John Blanton III; and many other beloved family members and friends.
