LeRoy, Velda "Vel" Velda LeRoy, of Scottsdale, died peacefully May 10, 2017 at age 91. She was born on September 28, 1925 in McClusky, North Dakota and grew up in Goodrich. Vel graduated with high honors as a Valedictorian. She married Hudson LeRoy and moved to Arizona in 1958 where she worked as a secretary for Motorola. She held a degree from International Graphoanalysis Society Handwriting Analysis, worked with attorneys and police in helping solve crimes through her experience. Vel is survived by her son Jim (Jill) LeRoy; twin sister, Elda and older sister, Viola. Vel leaves behind grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lillian & Emanuel Zweigle; children Greg LeRoy, who died in 1988, and twins who were lost at birth. Funeral services at Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery of Scottsdale will begin with visitation at 12 PM; followed by funeral at 1 PM. Reception will be held at Green Acres afterwards. Vel is so blessed & loved by many. The Lord has taken great care of her in life.
