We are saddened to announce the passing of VanRyne Somme III, lovingly known as "Van" to his friends and family. Born on June 20, 1965, Van lived a full and vibrant life in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Van was the son of VanRyne Somme II and leaves behind his partner, Alejandrina Somme, along with their four children: Juliett Rosario, Amanda Hernandez, Alexis Hernandez, and VanRyne Somme IV.

Van attended Queens Borough Community College before continuing his studies at Queens College. He went on to work at MTA, where he made many lasting friendships.

In his spare time, Van enjoyed cooking, watching sports, and most of all, spending time with his beloved family. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.

Van will be remembered for his quick wit, infectious laugh, and unwavering love for those around him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

As Van would want it, please remember him with a smile and a good joke. Rest in peace, VanRyne Somme III.
