Vanessa Gail Moss was born October 4, 1977 to the Jacqueline and Henry Prater in DeRidder, Louisiana. She accepted Christ at an early age at St. Luke #1 Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until her passing. She attended the public school system, and graduated from DeRidder High School in 1996. She went on to receive her certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant taking care of the elderly. She has a passion for people, she was always very outgoing and went above and beyond to take care of others. She was known by her co-workers for her tireless energy. She was preceded in death by her father Henry Prater. She leaves to cherish memories her three children: Shawnessey Moss of Shreveport, La, Mohogany Moss of Shreveport, La, and Karvasca Moss of Shreveport, La. Visitation will be Friday, May 3, 2019 at 10am at Heavenly Gates Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the 1000 Mothers to Prevent Violence Charities.
