Catherine L. Gudgel-Wright, 66, of Springfield, IL passed away on Friday November 1, 2024.
Cathy was born in Springfield on April 9, 1958. She was raised by her mother, Doris Lawson (Richardson). She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Gudgel.
Cathy is survived by her parents, Doris and Bill Lawson; children, Edward Pelser III (Rachel), and Tiffiny Pelser; grandchildren; Malachi, Julian, Lydia, Eli, Miriam, Amouur, Riley, Gracey, Avery,Tyus, and Kamari; brother, Rick Gudgel (Jody); sister, Debbie Vanhorn; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Cathy enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was fishing, cooking out, or just spending time with family. She liked humming birds, dolphins, and cats. Cathy loved old school music and the Blues.
