Tomas Rodríguez Padron Obituary

A live well live and full of love

Here lies Tomas Rodríguez Padron, a man who lived his life to the fullest, especially when it came to snoring through Sunday afternoon football games. Born on December 12, 1939, in some forgotten corner of the universe, Tomas proudly hailed from West Palm Beach, Florida. He was the beloved son of Gerardo and Elena, who always seem to be referred to collectively, as if they were a superhero duo or an infamous lounge act.

Tomas, lovingly nicknamed "Tommy Two-Snores" by his family, leaves behind a legacy that can only be described as remarkable and incredibly noisy. To his credit, he showed his dedication to his offspring by naming them with alliterative gusto: Nieves Nayvid, Naylen, and Eduardo Rodríguez. They often wondered if their father's fascination with alliteration extended to other aspects of his life, but thankfully, he never adopted a pet porcupine named Percy or named his collection of paperclips.

His children remember Tomas as a man with many passions, like his ardent love for seafood, his unwavering commitment to switching between sports channels during commercial breaks, and his ability to steer any conversation toward his "top-notch" fishing stories, even during a bridal shower. He was a true aficionado of life's simple pleasures, like a perfectly brewed cup of coffee and the sweet serenade of a car alarm at 2 am.

Tomas was also a devoted grandfather, with four grandchildren Yilena Ortiz Rodriguez, Luis Yuri Rubi , Yanisleidys Ortiz , Antonio Escalona ,standing as living proof that one's sanity may be inherited. But let's not get into that. Instead, let's focus on the many adventures he shared with his grandkids - teaching them the art of taking naps during family meals, engaging in spirited debates about the superiority of rotary phones, and imparting his wisdom on how to perfectly balance a remote controller on one's belly button without dropping it.

In honor of Tomas's memory, his family kindly requests that any attempted imitations of his legendary snores be confined to the privacy of one's own home. And while we mourn the loss of this extraordinary man, let us also find solace in knowing that somewhere up above, he has embarked on a journey where sleep is eternal, Cowboys always win, and car alarms sing sweet lullabies every night.
