Jenkins, Tom,George Thomas Jenkins, 92, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on July 12, 2017. He retired from Common Wealth Life Insurance after 24 years of service. Tom proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and later in Korea. Tom was born on May 22, 1925 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Conrad and Lillian (Stinson) Jenkins. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Ruth Jenkins, brothers; Joe, Jim and Denny Jenkins, sisters Norma Jean Ingram, and Helen Bezy. He is survived by his son, James Jenkins; 5 grandchildren; brother, Charles (Phyllis) Jenkins, sisters-in-law, Helen Miller and Mary Anne Jenkins, caregivers Donna and Kevin Harrison. Tom is also survived by a host of numerous loving nieces, nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville 40243). His funeral ceremony will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home with burial to follow at 2:00pm at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.
