It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Timothy Bates, who was tragically shot and left us too soon on June 20, 2025. Born on July 29, 2002, in Jacksonville, Florida, Timothy lived a full and eventful life.

Timothy graduated from Atlantic Coast High School in 2020 and continued his studies at Edward Waters University, where he received his bachelor's degree in digital marketing in 2024. He was a bright and ambitious young man with a promising future ahead of him.

Outside of his academic pursuits, Timothy had a passion for cooking and playing pool. He loved to whip up delicious meals for his friends and family, always impressing them with his culinary skills. And no one could beat him at a game of pool; he had a natural talent and a competitive spirit that made him a force to be reckoned with.

Timothy was the beloved son of Darryl and Kia Bates, with no children of his own. His quirky sense of humor and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local charity in Timothy's memory. He may be gone, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
