Thomas R. "Tom" Kinney 1938 - 2014 Thomas R. "Tom" Kinney, 76, of Kenosha, passed away on Dec. 24, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Dec. 11, 1938, in Merrill, Wis., a son of the late Charles and Irene Wilquette Kinney. The family later moved to Green Bay where Tom attended school and graduated. He moved to Kenosha in the 1950's and was employed with American Brass for over 40 years, holding many job titles within the company. Following retirement Tom worked for K-Town music which he enjoyed so much and made so many wonderful friends. On Feb. 16, 1963, he married Judy Kinney, their marriage dissolved. He later married Valerie Frederick on Aug. 22, 1998. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, photography, playing classical guitar and flower gardening. Tom was the biggest Green Bay Packer Fan and attended many games, he used to watch them practice as a young boy living in Green Bay. Surviving Tom are his loving wife Valerie; two children, Teri (Trice) Barnett of Bristol, Timothy Kinney of Protem, Mo.; two step children, Timothy Frederick of Denver, Colo., and Beth (Bill) Pease of St. Joseph's Mo.; two grandchildren, Dustin Barnett of Salem and Austin Barnett of Bristol; one great granddaughter Liliana Barnett of Salem; one brother Milton Kinney of Green Bay; one sister-in-law Leslie (Carlos) Hernandez of Kenosha; and mother-in-law Florence Panka of Kenosha. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother James Kinney; and daughter Isabel. A memorial gathering will be held at the Proko Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 17, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon. Interment will be private.
