Thomas Joseph Bowie, 64, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed on June 3, 2023. Thomas was born on January 15, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan. He leaves behind siblings Diane, David, John, along with his pride and joy kids, Nicholle, Hanna and Danny, Lydia, their mother, and special friend Melissa.
Tom graduated from Livonia Stevenson HS, attended Michigan State and went into the car business, true to his family and Motown roots.
His out-going personality and comedic sense drew people near him that enjoyed a good laugh. Tom or Bowser, as some called him, would easily have you in stitches as he knew every line in popular movies and songs, impersonating anyone, drawing an audience of amazement and awe. Entertaining was in his families' blood, with his grandfather being Buster Brown and a great aunt in Vaudeville.
Never one to sit down, Tom enjoyed life, being an active participant as well as an observer of sports and music. He enjoyed playing hockey as a little kid, then in highschool (as well as being in the marching band, playing the trombone) and later as an adult on a local team. Another passion of his was golf. He was an avid player in courses throughout the country. Boating was a favorite pass time, calling it his "serenity now", as he sailed and cruised to the Eastern and Western Carribbean islands or drove his pontoon boat through the various great lake waters of Michigan. His final wish is to have his ashes spread over beautiful Boyne mountain, where he made many friends and memories as a Team Rust ski racer.
