Thomas J. Barnhart RACINE — Thomas J. Barnhart passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2013. Thomas was born on July 9, 1950 to the late Eugene and Audrey Barnhart in Racine. Thomas loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He would do anything to be outside, his favorite thing being gardening. Thomas was a proud gardener. His peach trees and his tomatoes were famous with his family and friends. Thomas was also a lover of dogs, especially Beagles. Another hobby Thomas enjoyed was restoring and driving classic cars. Thomas is survived by his loving fiancé, Dorothy Clark; children, Tom (Kristin) Barnhart, Kelly (Matt) DeCheck, and Joseph McCrea; grandchildren, Dylan and Ashley Barnhart, Kayelyn Barnhart; and sisters Susie (Tom Stolt) Barnhart, Barb (Paul) Beere, and Judy (Tom) Schemm. Thomas will be especially missed by his best friend and brother, Eugene Barnhart. He will be truly missed by his extended family, particularly Robert and David Grant, Evelyn Beth, and his dog Abby. Thomas will also be missed by many other dear relatives and friends. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Audrey Barnhart, and his sister, Bonnie Barnhart. A Memorial Service for Thomas will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Wilson Funeral Home at 11am. Relatives and Friends may meet with the family at the Wilson Funeral Home from 9am until the time of service at 11am.
