Mr. Thomas was born March 24, 1940 in Tampa, Fl. He graduated from the Hillsborough high school enlisted in the United States Army in 1965. Thomas married Barbra Parker in 1966. Thomas and Barbra moved to Atlanta Georgia where they conceived there daughter Candace Hayward. Thomas worked as a fisherman and mechanic but also had other trades that he dabbled in. Thomas did not have a church home when he passed.

Mr. Hayward was survived by his daughter's Candance, Maye, Pamela, and only son Thomas Jr. Grandchildren Shavonne, Brenisha, Thomas III, Kareem, Walt, Simone, Dante. 

Thomas is preceded in death by his Father Leroy Hayward, Mother Anna Mae Hayward, Betty Hayward. Thomas Hayward Sr. Will be laid to rest Friday June 19, 2020 at Donald Trimble Mourtuary 1876 2nd Ave, Decatur Georgia 30032
