Fisher, Thomas Thomas Fisher passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at his home in Scottsdale, AZ at the age of 84. Tom is survived by his son, David of Nashua, New Hampshire; daughter, Tracey of Queen Creek, AZ; brothers Andy, Bill and Paul; and Joan Bertolet a dear loved friend and partner. Tom was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Fisher (Brooks) in 1988 and his twin brother Bob. Thomas was born on August 30th, 1932 in Freeport Long Island, New York. He graduated from Don Bosco College, Newton, NJ in 1954. He was a member of the Salesian Order of Don Bosco. He obtained his Masters at Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ and taught high school science for 6 years. Thomas became a Guidance Counselor at Clarkstown High School and North Rockland High School, New York. In 1963 he met and married Barbara Brooks and they adopted 2 children; David and Tracey. Thomas took a leave of absence during the 1977/78 school year to attend Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in Texas and became a licensed Funeral Director in the state of New York. In 1983, he purchased Cargain Funeral Homes in Mahopac and Carmel New York which he sold and retired to Scottsdale, AZ where he continued working part-time as a Funeral Director and Grief Recovery Specialist at Hansen Mortuary in Scottsdale for 17 years. He met and married Claire Marino in 1995 whom he divorced in 2008.
