Thomas McCall was born in Kingstree, South Carolina, on January 16th, 1955. He was the 5th of 7 children born to the late Guss McCall, Sr. and Alberta McCall. At an early age, he moved to Hallandale, Florida, with his family.

Thomas was educated in the school system in Hallandale, Florida. Thomas worked for different companies as a truck driver. He worked with his cousin, Calvin Franklin, during his career. Thomas loved people. He loved having playful conversations and had a unique sense of humor. He always enjoyed watching Western shows and movies, and he absolutely enjoyed football and his beloved San Francisco 49ers.

He met his wife Shawanda in Florida, and they moved to Florence, South Carolina.

His brothers, Harry Lee McCall and William Henry (Dale) Franklin preceded him in death.

Thomas transitioned from labor to reward on November 7th, 2024.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Shawanda Demetria Walker McCall. His stepson, Tavaris Burks, Sr., and 5 grandchildren.

Two sisters: Rose (Cleve) Campbell, Bertha (Roosevelt) Thomas; Two brothers, Guss McCall Jr., Charles (Juanita) McCall, all of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Thomas also leaves a host of neices, nephews, cousins, and friends who love him and will miss him dearly.
